George Bizer
George Bizer graduated from Indiana University (Bloomington) in 1995 and earned his Ph.D. in social psychology from Ohio State University (Columbus) in 2001. After serving on the faculty at Eastern Illinois University, he joined the Department of Psychology at Union College in September, 2005.

As an attitudes researcher with roots in the social-cognitive school of thought, Bizer has focused the bulk of his studies into two primary areas: the impact of attitude framing on attitude strength and the underlying structure of attitude strength. A nascent third line of research explores how personality can also impact attitude strength. Bizer's research therefore involves the study of several antecedents of attitude strength as well as the general study of how such strength should be conceptualized.
